Deleting your account

In the app

Settings → Data and privacy → Delete account. To confirm, you type the email address of your account. This deletes, straight away and for good:

your account and sign-ins on all devices,
Claude access,
on the Papeer server, all documents, attachment files, version history and the trash,
shared links (they stop working),
your requests to support.

An active subscription is cancelled with Paddle before the deletion. If you have Google Drive sync turned on, the Papeer folder in your Google Drive stays — it’s yours, and you can delete it yourself.

Before you delete your account, make an export: Settings → Data and privacy → Export everything.

Without the app

If you can’t get into the app, write to support@papeer.online from the email address of your account and ask for it to be deleted. We delete the account the same way the button in the app does and reply when it’s done.

What stays

An encrypted copy stays in the operator’s backups for the period given in the Privacy policy; after that it’s gone from there too. Emails that have already been sent (such as replies from support) stay in the recipients’ mailboxes.
