Terms of use

Operator
Papeer is operated by Dmitry Meiner, sole trader, company ID (IČO) 71492780, registered at Na domovině 1081/2, Libuš, 142 00 Prague 4, Czech Republic (the “operator”). Contact: support@papeer.online.
The service
Papeer is a Markdown notes editor available at papeer.online. It stores your notes on the operator’s server in Papeer Cloud, encrypted with your account’s key. You can turn on Google Drive sync in Settings.
Account and free trial
To use Papeer you need a Papeer account: an email address and a one-time code sent to it. While registration is open only to invited people, an account is created only for addresses on the invite list; once registration opens, anyone gets an account after entering the code from the email.
A new account has a 14-day free trial with everything Papeer can do, without a payment card. After it ends, use requires a subscription (below). Without a subscription you can still read and export your notes; you cannot write or upload files.
Plans and prices
| Plan | Space | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Papeer | 10 GB of file space, files up to 250 MB, 10,000 documents | 99 Kč | 999 Kč |
| Papeer 100 GB | 100 GB of file space, files up to 250 MB, 50,000 documents | 199 Kč | 1 799 Kč |
Prices include VAT. All plans have the same features; they differ only in space and number of documents. One document can hold at most 2 MB of text. The current price list is always on the papeer.online home page. Prices in other currencies (EUR, USD) are set by the seller’s checkout according to your country.
Payments and the seller
The subscription is sold and payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd (United Kingdom) as the seller: it issues the receipt, pays the VAT and handles payment complaints under its own rules. You enter your payment details with Paddle; the operator does not see them. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
Cancelling: you can cancel the subscription any time in Settings → Plan; it stays valid until the end of the paid period, does not renew, and the cancellation can be taken back until the period ends. Changing plans works there too and applies immediately: when moving to a bigger plan, Paddle charges only the difference until the end of the period; when moving to a smaller plan, it returns the difference as credit towards the next payment; you can move to a smaller plan only if your files and documents fit within its limits. You manage your card, receipts and payment history in Paddle’s customer portal (Settings → Plan → Manage payments). Refunds: you can get a refund from Paddle within 14 days of a payment, no reason needed, for the first payment and every renewal; the Refunds page describes how to ask. Deleting your account cancels a running subscription with Paddle immediately; you can ask for a refund of a payment from the last 14 days as described on the Refunds page.
End of subscription and account deletion
After the free trial or a subscription ends without payment, the account and notes stay for at least 90 days in read-and-export mode. You get an email seven days before deletion; nothing is deleted without an email first. After 90 days without payment, the account and notes are deleted. An account without a single document that nobody has signed in to for 90 days is deleted after the same email a week before.
You can delete your account yourself any time in Settings → Data and privacy. Deletion cannot be undone; the backup periods are described in the Privacy policy.
Your data
Everything you write in Papeer is yours. The operator does not read or use the content of your notes for its own purposes and claims no rights to it. Encryption protects against a leak of the disk or database, not against whoever controls the running server. Details on how data is processed are in the Privacy policy. Exporting your whole account is available any time in Settings → Data and privacy.
Content rules and reporting
Papeer is a personal notes editor. A document you share with a public link must not contain content that breaks the law — in particular illegal content, content infringing copyright or other people’s privacy, content inciting violence or hatred, spam or fraud. Anyone can report such a document with the “Report content” link on the shared page. The operator reviews reports and may turn off the shared link or suspend the account; you learn about a suspension when you sign in and can write to support@papeer.online.
Prohibited use
You must not use the service to disrupt its operation, to get around security mechanisms, to create accounts automatically, or for any activity that breaks the law (and, with Google Drive sync, Google’s terms).
Availability and liability
Papeer is provided as is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. The operator is not liable for data loss caused by a service outage or an error in the application beyond the liability required by law. We recommend backing up your notes by export or with Google Drive sync.
Changes
These terms may change. The current version is always on this page; the effective date is shown at the top. You will get an email about any substantial change.
